Feed the Fever™

June 17th, 2009

This looks amazing — a personal Digg, Google Reader, and Delicious all rolled into one beautifully designed interface — hosted by you on your own server.

Shaun Inman’s latest creation will ultimately change the way you use RSS. Massive unread counts, unsubscribing from the noise and dreading opening your feed reader will all be things of the past. Find out why I’ve been on a subscription binge with Fever.

It works by selecting “What’s Hot” from all your feeds by taking the number of times a link in mentioned; the “Must Read” feeds, or the “Hot” feeds are bolstered by links from “Kindling” feeds (higher volume, more noise). The demo look great; the ideas and the implementation seem sound.
This is going to be very interesting to watch.
