There’s a littany of apps on the mac for the occasional disk permissions repair and other maitenence tasks. Since I got Macs a few years back, I’ve been using one particularly nice application: Mainmenu. It sits in the menubar, giving easy access to all necessary processes needed for a quick (or thorough) clean up of the system. Recently version 2.0 has been released, updating and clarifying the UI while adding even more great features. This is the App for fixing up your Mac.
