Simplenote is a beautiful iPhone app, one that Gruber wrote an entire post about. Though the application itself is very nice, its icon is dreadful. It’s strange that a company with obvious design taste gave the app such a bad icon. To fix this minor shortcoming, a fund has been set up to design a better icon to complement the UI. So please, if you want to help right this design travesty, donate some money or contribute an icon yourself—a great app deserves an equally beautiful icon.
